You're Dead. marks the return of Norwegian guitarist and composer Hedwig Mollestad's return to her long-standing trio with bassist Ellen Brekken and drummer Ivar Loe Bjørnstad, just eight months after she led a sextet on Ekhidna, her first solo album. The Hedvig Mollestad Trio are an eye-catching bunch on stage at the Royal Festival Hall to open up for John McLaughlin & The 4th Dimension.

Yes, the guitar shredding is still there, but the context is totally different, and showcases her very well. Instead of her working trio, Hedvig has surrounded herself with two keyboards, drums, percussion and, most interestingly, trumpet.
